You were driving your Peugeot 505 through the desert, looking at the nearby sights, a abandoned gas station, a pile of sun dried bones, a big rock. Your Peugeot seems to be running normally, it’s naturally aspirated XD2 diesel groans on as normal. In the corner of your vison you see what seems to be a behind the rock. You stop and look. It’s a Jaguar E-Type. It’s got some patina but it looks to be in running condition now what?
Like this, but behind a large rock in the desert, without the sunroof. and headlights.

The other option was a 2.3 L diesel E-type, which would sound like crap, but drive for ever, since indenor diesel engine, and no electrics involved that a British car could ruin

Easy. You tow one (on its own wheels, with a tow bar) with the other and thus take both home.

Race it like in Vanishing Point.

Are we supposed to just take the E-type? Are there keys and a title? Running E-types aren’t just thrown about willy nilly. They’re owned by people, and if not tended they don’t stay running long, especially in such a harsh environment, which would mean it likely received recent care. Taking it would be theft. Leave a note on it, mark its location on your GPS, and keep on truckin’.

10/10 would bypass ignition, push start Jag and drive it home. That or strap tow it behind the 505.

What is a “behind the rock”?
